Reader Description

Brent crept up to the washing machine and dropped in one of his sister's socks. Then he waited to see what would happen. He didn't have to wait long. Read these stories and decide whether sock gobblers, giants, and Martians are part of the real world.

After you have completed the Reader

List the words 'gurgling, gobbling, grimy, draggled, slimy' and 'SCHLOP' as well as other descriptive words the students have noted or found interesting.
