Is it difficult to find your way in the dark? Perhaps it would help if you had night vision like an owl, large funnel-shaped ears like a fennec fox, or padded feet like a tiger! Then, like the unusual creatures in this book, you would feel perfectly at home under the cover of darkness.

Creatures come out at night for different reasons. Choose four animals from the book. Make a chart with three columns. Name each creature, explain why it is nocturnal, and describe the special features that allow it to move around at night.
